  • A queer, alternative-controller festival game
    • Two players sit (in person) on a sofa with pressure sensors
    • They either move toward each other, or move away
    • Players' actions on the sofa in real time are reflected by the silhouettes seen on screen
    • The game invites them to explore intimacy with each other, and asks if they will take the risk of being intimate in public
  • Relies upon audience participation via phone or computer input
    • This part of our design has changed due to the antisocial nature of COVID quarantine
    • Instead of a typical festival game, the audience will interact via Twitch stream
    • They can send emoticons such as ":)" or ":/" and those emoticons will have an effect on the screen where the two players are
  • The installation is a fundamentally queer experience: it explores the idea of claiming public spaces as queer
    • Do you risk outting yourself in public in order to show your partner affection? Or do you stay in the closet?
